Northfield (Oakden) Ambulance Station
Project Details:
The recently built ambulance station at Oakden has been strategically designed to cater to the demands of a 24/7 emergency crew. Featuring a five-bay drive-through garage, offices, state-of-the-art training facilities, restrooms, amenities, a dedicated crew area, kitchen, lunchroom, a discreet private courtyard, and ample on-site parking, the station embodies a comprehensive approach to operational excellence.
Lightlogix, a trusted partner, played a pivotal role in delivering a turnkey solution. They provided the design, equipment, programming, and commissioning of the Philips Dynalite Lighting Control System, which was expertly installed by Deadshort Electrical. This collaboration ensures intelligent control over the entire station, aligning with our commitment to technological sophistication.
The Lighting Control System, employing a combination of Passive InfraRed (PIR) occupancy sensors and PhotoElectric light sensors, dynamically manages illumination levels. This meticulous approach guarantees well-lit and secure passageways, fostering comfortable and productive work environments for our staff across round-the-clock operations. In nearly every room, these sensors create an autonomous and highly efficient control system.
User-friendly interfaces, elegantly designed and strategically placed within the building, empower users to control specific task lighting, adjust scene settings, and provide a familiar means to manually override or turn off lighting when necessary.
Moreover, the integration of the Lighting Control System with the security infrastructure ensures a seamless ‘Last Out’ interface. This functionality systematically shuts down the building and its lighting in conjunction with arming the security system. To further bolster safety and security, certain aspects of the control system are isolated or inhibited when all responders vacate the facility. This comprehensive approach ensures that the building remains safe and secure, aligning with the Ambulance Service’s commitment to the well-being of staff and the efficient operation of emergency services.

DUS704C
Ceiling mountable 360 degree universal sensor
The DUS704 series combine motion detection (PIR), infra red remote control reception (IR) and ambient light level detection (PE) in the one device. In applications such as homes, lecture theatres and office towers, universal sensors can be utilised to detect motion and switch on the lights. When rooms are unoccupied, lights can be automatically dimmed or switched off to provide energy savings.
Infra Red remote control reception allows full control of lights, audio-visual equipment and blinds. The Dynalite DTK500 series hand held infra-red transmitters are compatible for use with the DUS704, and for the programming of 3rd party “universal” remote controls.
In situations where it is critical to maintain precise lighting control for individual workspaces, such as a flight control tower or office workstation, the DUS704 facilitates light compensation. The DUS704 can be placed in an automatic “Daylight Harvesting” mode for energy savings.
DUS704W
Wall mountable 90 degree universal sensor
The DUS704W is a wall mountable 90 degree universal sensor that combines motion detection (PIR), Infrared remote control reception (IR) and ambient light level detection (PE) into one device in applications such as offices, lecture theaters and homes.
• Motion detection feature — Detects the presence or absence of motion and adjusts lights accordingly.
• Ambient light level detection and daylight harvesting — In applications where it is critical to maintain precise light, the PE function reads ambient levels and adjusts artificial light accordingly.
• Infrared receive capability — Manually adjust light levels using a hand-held remote control, via the inbuilt IR receive sensor of the DUS704W.
• Multiple mounting options — The device is available in both 360 degree ceiling mount (DUS704C) or wide angle wall mount (DUS704W) versions.

DDBC120-DALI
DALI-2 Driver Controller

- Flexible mounting solution – A DIN-rail mountable device, designed to be installed into the distribution board supplying power to the controlled lighting circuit.
- Dual functionality – Leverage advantages of a true DALI network solution, whilst still allowing full function set of DyNet network control.
- Driver standby power elimination – Internal switched relay automatically isolates the power circuit when all drivers are dimmed to 0%.
- Integral DALI bus power supply – Removes the need for provision of a separate external power supply and reduces distribution board wiring complexity.
- Driver management tools – Includes lamp and driver status reporting, driver run time tracking, and emergency test reporting.
- Onboard DALI test function – Use the controller's service switch to set all connected lamps to full brightness, or flash on/off for a 5-minute test window, without the need for software or additional input devices.

DUS804C
360º ceiling mount sensor
The DUS804C is a low profile recessed flush mount 360º ceiling mount sensor that combines motion detection (PIR), infra red remote control reception (IR) and ambient light level detection (PE) in the one device. In applications such as office buildings, lecture theatres, and homes, the DUS804C universal sensor can be utilised to detect motion and switch on the lights. When rooms are unoccupied, lights can be automatically dimmed or switched off to provide energy savings. The unit also incorporates a segmented click-up bezel surrounding the motion sensor element. This enables a portion of the sensing field to be readily masked to prevent nuisance detection from adjacent doorways or corridors. The same sensor provides IR control reception to enable full remote control over lights, audio-visual equipment and blinds. A range of hand held infra-red transmitters to complement DUS804 series universal sensors are available. In situations where it is critical to maintain precise lighting control for individual workspaces, such as an office workstation or even air traffic control centres, the DUS804C facilitates light compensation. The DUS804C can also be placed in an automatic“Daylight Harvesting” mode for energy savings.
